HOME-STAR EAST SURREY AGM ATTENDED BY COUNCIL VIP SUPPORTERS

Home-Start East Surrey, a local charity organisation based in Redhill, held their Annual General Meeting recently at St. Joseph’s PNL Centre. Sally Marks, Chairman of the Surrey County Council and patron of the charity organisation, attended the event together with other council VIPs and supporters from the local community .

The charity organisation train volunteers who visit families with young children weekly in their homes in Redhill, Reigate, Horley, Tandridge and Dorking who are struggling to cope with the various difficulties of life.

The volunteers help families give their children the best possible start in life. They are parents themselves who know the various stresses and strains of bringing up a young family and coping with issues like bereavement, illness, disability, post-natal depression, family breakdown, loneliness and isolation.
